Implant Restoration
in Murrysville, PA

Dental implants are the best way to replace missing teeth. But an implant alone will only replace a tooth's root. An implant restoration, like a dental crown, can be used to complete your smile.

DID YOU KNOW?

Single-tooth dental implants are the most common type of implant, and use a single dental crown to replace one missing tooth.

Why should I get an implant restoration?

Implant restorations are a necessary part of any dental implant treatment plan. The implant itself is just a small piece of metal that acts as an artificial tooth root. To restore the tooth completely, you need a restoration like a dental crown, bridge, or set of dentures. Together, your dental implant and your implant restoration will keep you smiling for decades to come.

We Offer Single Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are the most common implant restoration, and are used to restore a single missing tooth. They function exactly as a natural tooth does, and they blend seamlessly with the rest of your smile.

Replace Several Teeth With Implant-Supported Bridges

A dental bridge is used to replace several missing teeth in a row. An implant-supported bridge performs the same function, only it is attached to a dental implant instead of a natural tooth.

I have been to dental appointments since I was in kindergarten. Now at 60, I have found the best dentist and whole dental practice yet. Dr. Berardinelli has a great office, wonderful staff, very modern, up to date equipment and techniques, but he has not lost touch with good common sense dentistry. His people are wonderful! I actually looked forward to the reminder calls. His panoramic digital exrays made my most feared time (exrays) smooth and easy. They did extensive reconstructive work on me and now I have a new smile that I am excited to show off, and it's strange to say, but it was essentially a fun experience.I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Berardinelli and his whole office team!!They also expertly did some work on my 9 year old daughter and she thought they were great too!

Dr. Berardinelli has always done a great job with our entire family. Two of our sons had basically broken both of their front teeth off when younger and he had methodically repaired and replaced both of them to a beautiful and permanent condition. He has always performed at a very high and professional level while serving our current needs as well has suggesting future preventative care that has always proven to be right on. He is a wonderful dentist and you will always be in good hands.

Dr. Berardinelli is a very kind and skilled professional that does excellent work. I still have a crown on that he placed 20 years ago and it is as perfect today as it was the day he put it in.I left his practice shortly after he put that crown in due to my workplace moving over an hour away. Another dentist did a crown on another tooth for me and it has been re-done three times, never fitting well and painful. Finally, after over ten years of trying dentists in my local area, I decided it was worth the hour drive to see if Dr. Berardinelli could fix what the other dentists were not able to. I was not disappointed. Immediately I felt relief and the crown not only looks perfect, it fits perfect.I now gladly make the hour drive for my cleanings and all of my other dental needs. Thank you Dr. Berardinelli and staff!!!

I have never been able to find a dentist that I was comfortable going to, especially having TMD. Dr. Berardinelli employs a vast array of techniques and methods to get the job done. During my first ever crown procedure, him and his assistant Donna kept my mind busy by having a normal and fun conversation. You can tell that they are in their element with a patient in the chair. They got me in quickly and even took photos of my cracked tooth when I came there for my mom’s appointment. Best dentist around.

The Benefits of Implant Restorations

Versatile Smile Restoration

Implant restorations can be used to replace one tooth with a crown, multiple teeth with a bridge, or a full mouth of teeth with implant-supported dentures. Implant restorations look, feel, and function just like real teeth. No matter how many teeth you’ve lost, you may be a good candidate for treatment with dental implants and an implant restoration.

Long-Lasting Results

When you care for them properly, your dental implants and your restorations could last decades. This is much longer than alternatives like dentures and traditional dental bridges, which makes implants a great long-term investment.

Minimal Special Care

If you get a single-tooth restoration with a dental crown, you can just treat it like a normal tooth, and it’s easy to care for implant-supported bridges and dentures, too. This makes your life more convenient.

The Implant Restoration Treatment Process

Dental Implant Placement

To begin the process, Dr. Belsterling will need to place one or more dental implants into your mouth. After this surgery is done, it may take up to 6 months for your mouth to fully heal.

Follow-Ups & Building The Restoration

After your implants are in place, you’ll come back to our office for a few follow-ups. During this time, Dr. Belsterling will check your recovery. he will also take impressions or models of your mouth, and use these to begin designing and crafting your final implant restoration.

Final Dental Implant Restoration

Once your mouth is healed, Dr. Belsterling will build your permanent implant restoration with the help of a dental lab. When it arrives at our office, you’ll come in for one last appointment. Dr. Belsterling will check the restoration to make sure it fits. Then he will bond it to your implant permanently and send you home to enjoy your brand-new smile.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Types Of Implant Restorations Are There?

Dental crowns are the most common type of dental implant restoration, and they attach to one implant to restore a single tooth. Implant-supported bridges are also an option. These use two implants to support a row of 3+ missing teeth.

Implant-supported dentures are also an option for some patients. These are full rows of teeth that attach to 4-6 implants in the upper, lower, or both arches of your mouth. Depending on the type of denture, they may either be removable, or they may be permanently fixed in place.

Are Implant Restorations Covered By Insurance?

The answer is usually “no.” Most dental insurance plans don’t cover any part of dental implant treatment, and this includes restorations. You will likely have to pay out of pocket. However, you can consult with your insurer and your policy information directly to learn more, and see if you can get coverage for your dental implant and/or implant restoration.
